I will be teaching a grant writing workshop for MAWA & ACI, Sat Jan 30, 2016.
During my near two-decades as a filmmaker, media art curator and arts administrator, I have received multiple grants for my individual art practice, collective projects and organizations from the Winnipeg Arts Council, the Manitoba Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts. I’ve also frequently sat on the other side of the table, sitting on assessment panels for the Canada Council for the Arts and the Winnipeg Arts Council, and both chairing and observing many of the Winnipeg Film Group’s artist funding juries.
This workshop will assist participants on how to best present their ideas and how to introduce themselves as artists to a panel of unknown assessors.
