I led a workshop on “Film and Memory” at the FICWALLMAPU International Festival of Indigenous Film in the Mapuche Nation in Chile, Nov 22-26, 2016.
I have been exchanging with and working in solidarity with Mapuche filmmakers and creatives for over a decade now, teaching workshops, engaging in curatorial research, serving on film and arts assessment panels and providing occasional mentorships. The workshop was part of this ongoing community work.
