I’ve made my first post-pandemic trip outside of my region to lead an Experimental Film Lab for Indigenous creators in Regina July 12-16 at Sask Filmpool for Harbour Collective. The lab was co-led by Penny McCann, with darkroom support by Elian Mikkola.
The lab worked with high-contrast 16 mm B&W film stock and focused on eco-processing approaches, using a recipe that included dates, garden weeds, washing soda and vitamin C. Use of assorted food-based tints was also incorporated.
