Notes for Francisco Aguirre y Meneses

Francisco de Aguirre y su mujer inmigraron a las Indias en 1536, a Perú en 1537 y a Chile en 1540, donde fueron entre los fundadores de Santiago en 1541. Fransciso de Aguirre was a Conquistador of Chile.
Note that his wife was his first cousin; he was known to have had in the range of 50 illegitimate children, some of whom are known.
