The Spain-based A Cuatra Parede has published an article on the 14th edition of the Curtocircuito film festival (Santiago de Compostela, Spain), offering the following translated commentary on my film The Space Shuttle Challenger:

The Space Shuttle Challenger (Cecilia Araneda) is the second work that provides a different interpretation on history. Taking as its starting point the Challenger explosion on January 28, 1986, the director takes us – again with the use of voice over narration – through different intimate and collective events in history that highlight three crucial milestones at its structural core: the Pinochet coup d’état, the Challenger accident, and the imprisonment of Omar Khadr in Guantanamo. Through the repetition of different moments, or perspectives, of the same events, Cecilia manages to transform the political into the personal, achieving that, with each time we return to one of these three events, our vision becomes deeper and more critical. An exercise in responsibility and memory that stands out for the honesty of its storytelling.
